Under laboratory conditions, cutting edge science has confirmed that every thought is made up of energy and has its own unique frequency. And when this energy and frequency of a single thought radiates out into the Universe, it naturally interacts with the material world. Of course, it has long been known that matter, or physical objects, are also just packets of energy at the sub-microscopic, quantum level. And so, as your thought radiates out, it attracts the energy and frequencies of like thoughts, like objects, and even like people, and draws those things back to you.
But here Chesbrough’s unique history helped him come up with an alternate scenario, reminding him of a tool he had seen as a young man working the railway: the jackscrew, a device used to lift multiton locomotives onto the tracks. If you couldn’t dig down to create a proper grade for drainage, why not use jackscrews to lift the city up? Aided by the young George Pullman, who would later make a fortune building railway cars, Chesbrough launched one of the most ambitious engineering projects of the nineteenth century. Building by building, Chicago was lifted by an army of men with jackscrews. As the jackscrews raised the buildings inch by inch, workmen would dig holes under the building foundations and install thick timbers to support them, while masons scrambled to build a new footing under the structure. Sewer lines were inserted beneath buildings with main lines running down the center of streets, which were then buried in landfill that had been dredged out of the Chicago River, raising the entire city almost ten feet on average.

Some personal questions that you don't have to answer on this site but to think about. Is your house paid off? If you have children, are all of their college tuitions completely paid for? Are you still working at a job? If so, is that because you'd rather be working there than on a long vacation to your favorite places? Are you driving a brand new (fill in the name of your favorite car here)? Are all your hopes, dreams, and wishes coming true?

Deal-breaker items could include: if the person has some form of alcohol or substance addiction or abuse, if they are married or in another relationship, if they are physically or verbally abusive, and even if they smoke.  For some people, smoking is not a big deal, but for me, I just can’t stand kissing someone after they’ve had a smoke, so I decided to include it in my deal-breaker list.  What are your deal- breakers? All you need is three.
Overall, this was a very easy, simple to read book. Having seen (or should I say "experienced") ET live, I was quite eager to read his book. I was somewhat disappointed that the pages of his book failed to capture his essence more effectively. I will admit to being surprised of the numerous grammatical errors I encountered especially since he is an educator. Finally, although he may be referred to as the "hip-hop preacher" in some circles, there were a few banned words included here and there. This is NOT a religious book by any means.
One Piece of the Universal Puzzle: Although much focus has been rightly given to the Law of Attraction, more so since the success of the works of Abraham-Hicks and Rhonda Byrne's The Secret, it is not the full picture. The Law of Attraction is the basic Universal Law which holds everything together but there are another seven Universal Laws referred to in the ancient mystical and secret teachings. By understanding all the Laws of the Universe, you will be able to understand the true nature of reality and how you can experience the life you intend. The Law of Attraction is a major stepping stone in that direction but do not be misled into believing that it is the only one.

Thank you for your comments. Hard to be positive when talking about the LOA. It's focus on blaming is pervasive. I am a positive psychologist and have proposed a new way of looking at attraction called the Principle of Attraction. As a Principle, like tends to attract like. Positive thoughts, feelings, actions, and words often attracts positivity...but not always. It's not a law, it's a principle, based on positive and social psychology.

Think about the qualities you seek in the person you want to attract. These qualities are very personal and vary from individual to individual. Remember, there are no limits to what you can want.  Be specific about what is important to you; think about what you want in detail.  A great way to get some clarity is to make a list of the qualities you find attractive and the values that you admire in other people. Making a list or journaling our expectations is a powerful tool when applying the law of attraction to any facet of your life.
How many times have you heard somebody claim they know ‘the secret of success’ only to find out somebody else has another secret completely different from the last secret you heard?! Which secret is right?! Who knows THE REAL secret?! … is there ‘a real’ secret?! If so, just how many secrets are out there?! But most importantly, who’s secret advice do we follow to ensure our personal success??
- If I don't have much respect for my body and health or I'm stuck in the "fat" mentality, then I won't stick to a good diet. The key isn't to go from 0 to 100 (from eating fast food regularly to becoming vegetarian, for example). The mind cannot make such a huge switch in a short amount of time due to all the patterns one has developed over the years. Again, psychology 101. So simple yet so many get it wrong. There is no "perfect" diet. But when you have enough respect for your body, you would definitely have the motivation to stick to transition (
If you’re practicing these techniques with something simple, it’s time to take action and expect your results. If you’re using the system to find great parking, get in your car and drive to that parking spot with the full intention and expectation of finding it clear for you. Announce it out loud. “That parking spot is clear for me. I am parking in the spot that is open for me.” Again, we are fully aware that this seems really silly, but it’s a critical step.
5. See the positive. Focus on the good things about the specific person you want the Law of Attraction to bring you. Look for something to appreciate. This can be tough if there are negative feelings between the two of you, and you might only be able to find one thing in the beginning, but if you keep working at it, it will get easier. If you’re in a relationship with the person already, you should start to see his/her behavior change and things start improving between the two of you.
The Law of Attraction can be understood by understanding that ‘like attracts like'. What this means is that whether we realize it or not, we are responsible for bringing both positive and negative influences into our lives. A key part of the Law of Attraction is understanding that where you place your focus can have an intense impact on what happens to you. If you spend your days wallowing in regrets about the past or fears of the future, you’ll likely see more negativity appearing, but if you look for the silver lining in every experience then you’ll soon start to see positivity surrounding you every day. Therefore, the Law of Attraction encourages you to see that you have the freedom to take control of how your future develops, shaping it in the ways you choose.
Or change your state through experiences. Little daily things are big. When I was going through my rebirth — changing my state, I found joy in little things like a good workout, motorcycle rides, meaningful conversations, enjoying different foods, and hanging out with my tribe. These are all things I had in front of me. I didn’t have book deals or my own company. I punched a clock. I was in a job I didn’t like (but later realized it was one of the most important chapters of my life and would position me for bigger things.) The process of finding joy in your life is what creates you to connect to yourself. This is the gold. This connection to self is what makes you a super magnet to attract.
To use the law of attraction to get what you want from the universe, meditate for 5 minutes so you’re fully relaxed. Then, after your meditate, think about something specific you want that you’re passionate about. Envision the thing clearly in your mind and ask the universe to make it happen. You can also try writing it down in the present tense so you can focus on it more clearly. Repeat every day until your wish comes true.
But, once you start seeing your external experience is a mirror of what you feel and believe, you will make the amazing realization that changing your internal world will change what you bring into your life. If you don’t believe you have to settle or compromise, you won’t. If you believe you will find the right person, you will. If you know you don’t have to end up alone, you won’t. Sound too simplistic? Is the skeptical part of you being activated and resisting this? Are you thinking of all your experiences that have ‘proved’ your current set of beliefs, beyond a shadow of a doubt, and saying to yourself that I don’t know what the hell I am talking about? But, this is really all there is to it.Life is so much easier than we make it out to be.

But the one who really first articulated the Law as general principle was Prentice Mulford. Mulford, a pivotal figure in the development of New Thought thinking, discusses the Law of Attraction at length in, for example, his essay "The Law of Success",[15] published 1886-1887. In this, Mulford was followed by other New Thought authors, such as Henry Wood (starting with his God’s Image in Man,[16] 1892), and Ralph Waldo Trine (starting with his first book, What All the World's A-Seeking,[17] 1896). My ex and I broke up only because his parents believe that he does not need a relationship with a girl in this time in life. (He just started college). I am so in love with him. We started dating my Senior year, (I am in my second year in college) & ever since that time we started dating, I had this feeling inside my heart that just knew something special was about us. We have been broken up since this summer, and I am trying my best to do everything the LOA teachers express you should do. I have to admit, there are only a select number of days out of the months I’ve been practicing the LOA that I have been completly happy. I believe that I spend alot of focus on missing him, which of course brings more missing him. This week I have found a way to completely be happy, therefore I manifested a message from him. (We are not allowed to communicate with each other so I never know when I will get to talk to him). I asked him during that time if he would fight for us, fight for us to be together and by his actions and words, he pretty much wants us to wait, just like his parents want him to do. This is the whole reason why I am using the LOA to bring him back, so I don’t have to wait. I believe we can all be a happy family right now in this time! Basically my question to you is; Can going by the advice in this article help me with manifesting my one huge burning desire. Considering this involves three people now. Will being okay and happy without him create him back into my life WITH his parent’s approval?
Stop procrastinating. Avoiding the unpleasant parts of work doesn’t make them go away. Break the seemingly unmanageable into manageable chunks, then sprinkle those less-enjoyable aspects of a task into that other stuff that you really like. Building up a huge hunk of the bad stuff to deal with all at once, after you’ve completed the enjoyable stuff, is just going to leave a sour taste in your mouth at the end of a project.[1]
It is still me Elisabeth. The one thing i did not tell you is that during the lonelyness of my boyfriend he met a collegue from his work and she is feeling lonely too, she is married and has two children, but she is unhappy.. So they started to meet each other and talk. He told me there is nothing..no feelings..he is only happy she saved him when he was felling very bad (because of me). It is ok for me. But I know it is not the same for her. She is trying something. And do not want to loose him. I am happy if he has a friend that helps him when I was not there. But it is not a nice situation. How to think??? What to do? I know I do not have to think about “them” and that he leaves me for her even if he tells me know he is not interested..but I have to do something if there is still a possibility he loves me a little. Please help..thank you.
So, while part of the secret to success lies in the principle of taking massive action on a daily basis, it also requires a shift in thinking. You have to look at pain in the long term as the driver, and not pain in the short term. When you can associate enough pain to the long term of not doing something than the pleasure of putting it off any longer, then the real magic can start to happen.
