When I tell people that this is what it really means to believe in a law of attraction, they don't believe me. They say, that's ridiculous. We don't control everything in the universe. But you are a perfect example of the negative, blame the victim side of the LOA. I understand, appreciate, and respect that maintaining this perspective is consistent with your beliefs in the LOA. My personal belief is that this is not healthy for you, others with whom you connect, or for society in general.
Each "failed" relationship has given you clues about what you want in your ideal partner. The problem is, many women and men focus on the negative instead of the positive. For example, by saying that you don't want a man who "puts his work before the relationship," you are focusing on a man who puts work before love and that is the desire you are unconsciously sending out through your energy.
Since you’re the only intender, this is entirely an internal conflict — within YOU. You’re holding the thought (the intention) for both people to want the same position. But you’re also thinking (intending) that only one can get it. So you’re intending competition. This whole situation is your creation. You believe in competition, so that’s what you manifest. Maybe you have some beliefs (thoughts and intentions) about who will get the promotion, in which case your expectations will manifest. But you may have a higher order belief that life is random, unfair, uncertain, etc., so in that case you may manifest a surprise because that’s what you’re intending.
But the one who really first articulated the Law as general principle was Prentice Mulford. Mulford, a pivotal figure in the development of New Thought thinking, discusses the Law of Attraction at length in, for example, his essay "The Law of Success",[15] published 1886-1887. In this, Mulford was followed by other New Thought authors, such as Henry Wood (starting with his God’s Image in Man,[16] 1892), and Ralph Waldo Trine (starting with his first book, What All the World's A-Seeking,[17] 1896). For these authors, the Law of Attraction is concerned not only about health but every aspect of life.[18][19]

Realizing all Churches need fellowship and accountability, GOD led Pastor A. G. Mullen, Jr. to the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship in New Orleans in July 1995. Seeing the potential of this fellowship, Pastor Mullen returned to Jacksonville and quickly began to initiate training toward this fellowship. A new freedom of religious expression was realized by the members and the powers that Jesus had left behind for use by the believers. Teaching became more dynamic, families of souls are being saved, sick are being healed ....
Hi Matt – You have to be willing to forgive her. Not forgiving her is not forgiving yourself for allowing what happened to happen. Wanting her to reconcile with you only creates more wanting. You say you want her to come back to you, but you push her away and ignore her. You’re not in alignment with getting her back. You’re in alignment with not having her in your life. If you really want her back, you have to give her a chance. Read through the articles listed in this article for more tips.

Overall, this was a very easy, simple to read book. Having seen (or should I say "experienced") ET live, I was quite eager to read his book. I was somewhat disappointed that the pages of his book failed to capture his essence more effectively. I will admit to being surprised of the numerous grammatical errors I encountered especially since he is an educator. Finally, although he may be referred to as the "hip-hop preacher" in some circles, there were a few banned words included here and there. This is NOT a religious book by any means.

OMG Elizabeth, you just hit me bang on. I didnt even know i was thinking this negative all over. Thank you so much. But can you please help me with a list of to-do things or steps i must do to change my vibrations and feelings in my situation. As of now, i think of our past days when me and this girl were good friends and we used to laugh, talk, do everything. However, i am not able to “let go” which is vital for the Law of Attraction to work. I have read many articles and books but i am not able to customize it in my situation. Thanks in advance. Trust me you are doing a great job. 😀
When it comes to what draws people to give this whole law of attraction thing a whirl, I would have to say finding a relationship is right up there near the top, along with getting more of that sweet, sweet cash. And people seem to really struggle in the love department. But manifesting a relationship is not any different than manifesting anything else, in theory.
Stop procrastinating. Avoiding the unpleasant parts of work doesn’t make them go away. Break the seemingly unmanageable into manageable chunks, then sprinkle those less-enjoyable aspects of a task into that other stuff that you really like. Building up a huge hunk of the bad stuff to deal with all at once, after you’ve completed the enjoyable stuff, is just going to leave a sour taste in your mouth at the end of a project.[1]
How is that one person is willing to do all that it takes to reach their goals, while another person gives in to silent resignation at the first sign of resistance? Why is one person willing to sacrifice nearly everything in order to live the life of their dreams, while others are too afraid to take the next step in fear of suffering through a catastrophic failure or embarrassment?
