Ten years later, they revisited the same Harvard MBA students to assess their results. The 13% of the class that had set goals but didn’t have them in writing were earning, on average, twice as much as the 84% of the class that had set no goals at all. However, it was the 3% of the class that had both set written goals in writing and had a plan for their attainment that astonished the researchers.
2. Focus on the positive. Let go of all your negative thoughts….such as “it's hard to find anyone,” “why don't they see how good I am,” and “no one will ever love me.” You have a lot of great qualities that make you so worthy of anyone's love and attention. Others do notice you and appreciate you. There is love all around you. Let it in. When you let it in and focus on the positive, you change your vibration and open a door for the Law of Attraction for love to bring you your specific person.
Thank you so much for your book. I have read it and used the techniques which have worked so far. I have a few questions…my ex and I broke up back in April. We were in a long distance relationship for about 6-7 months. Really close, basically my best friend. The distance was too hard and she couldn’t do it anymore. We still talked every now and then, flirting and reminiscing and catching up. But here recently she told me she has a boyfriend now. Then about a month later she asks me to go to a concert with her and that I can stay with her at her house, which was something I manifested but she still has a boyfriend. I’ve followed the steps of giving her the cold shoulder and making her miss me but how can I do that when she has a boyfriend? My next next question has to do with thinking. I read my scripted visualization and look at my vision board twice a day. It’s really uplifting. I send out heart energy which has worked because the other day she texted me a picture of a few things I’ve given her and that she could never throw them away. My question is, can thinking about her and all the good times we had and thinking about our future together, can that delay results and should I just stick to doing the scripted visualizations and sending heart energy? Since you’re the only intender, this is entirely an internal conflict — within YOU. You’re holding the thought (the intention) for both people to want the same position. But you’re also thinking (intending) that only one can get it. So you’re intending competition. This whole situation is your creation. You believe in competition, so that’s what you manifest. Maybe you have some beliefs (thoughts and intentions) about who will get the promotion, in which case your expectations will manifest. But you may have a higher order belief that life is random, unfair, uncertain, etc., so in that case you may manifest a surprise because that’s what you’re intending.
Thank you for your comments. Hard to be positive when talking about the LOA. It's focus on blaming is pervasive. I am a positive psychologist and have proposed a new way of looking at attraction called the Principle of Attraction. As a Principle, like tends to attract like. Positive thoughts, feelings, actions, and words often attracts positivity...but not always. It's not a law, it's a principle, based on positive and social psychology.
It is okay if you don’t have any idea what this person looks like or what type of person he would be exactly. Just imagine yourself in an interaction where things are just ‘easy’ and flowing well. No drama. Just sitting around, spending time together. Imagine yourself taking part in your favorite activities with this other person. Envision a conversation where you are talking about the topics of most interest to you.
To use the law of attraction to get what you want from the universe, meditate for 5 minutes so you’re fully relaxed. Then, after your meditate, think about something specific you want that you’re passionate about. Envision the thing clearly in your mind and ask the universe to make it happen. You can also try writing it down in the present tense so you can focus on it more clearly. Repeat every day until your wish comes true.
Hi Elizabeth, I’ve read your book (loved it!) and the “rules” for those of us who want to manifest an ex, seem a little more demanding and complex… What if your ex wants nothing to do with you, or appears not to want to? What if they are telling everyone they are moving on and happier without you and are going toward greener pastures and they are open to meeting someone new? Secondly, how does one visualize happiness when still hurting, and how does one visualize good things and “let it go” when the memory of the breakup is still recent and fresh. Any tips on how to switch off emotional pain and memories, and just concentrate on the good? I just feel that manifesting an ex back is a great deal more challenging (and yes it is him I really want) because of the history there which simply can’t be erased or forgotten….
Hi, My boyfriend has been dating on and off for almost 4 years. I love with with all of my heart. Ive dated other guys when we were on our downtime, but none of them compared to him. Im so insecure in our relationship because he has 4 kids by 3 different women. Don’t wait for science to catch up several hundred years from now. Use the power of love, attraction and transformation NOW. Just because you can’t see angels and wise mentors in front of you right now, doesn’t mean you can’t imagine them as true and reap the benefits. You have the same opportunity as anyone else to make this quantum imagination jump.
And no, "But science is sooooooooo mysterious, we can't know for sure..." is not a legitimate argument. REAL science states that you DO NOT believe that something is true UNTIL it has been positively proven, NOT that you treat as if it is because "maybe." And no again, doing so is NOT "keeping an open mind" - keeping an open mind means accepting things for good reasons, not "just because." That's called "being a gullible sucker."

Expect that the universe is more likely to give you things if you’re already grateful for what it has provided to you. Thank you for responding, but how do I find out where and when I went wrong? The person that I have been on and off with for ten years, how do I get that back on track with him without the resentment and just have a good family life. I will only allow myself to go but so far because my children comes first and that is partly his problem it’s like he wants me to love him but hate my kids or just want them to go away. Do I apply the LOA or do I let go and focus on my blessings which are my children and many other things?

I am so excited. Today is my first day of my 21 day journey to attract a specific person into my life. Yesterday I spent the day mentally preparing myself for this journey. I cleaned out my space and room to give me even more of a peace of mind. I also completed some mundane tasks that I had to in order to ensure my highest vibration. (Don’t want life’s minutiae to bring me down :)) Today was a great day to say the least. Better than I thought my first day was going to be. I did have a brief moment of doubt and a pang of negativity halfway through the day. I am aware of it and can only improve on it tomorrow. Really interesting side note though. I had one of the best days professionally. My boss took me aside and told me how smart I was and offered me more positions. I got repeated complements about my looks for coworkers and others. It was a great day! I know that this is long but I hope someone reads it. I really want the universe to know what it has done for me.
4)Transcend Your Childhood Drama (pgs. 199-211): This informative section lists essential information on steps anyone can take to make peace with their childhood in order to more joyfully help in transforming their adult self. I really appreciate (and found it healing) how the authors mention in one of their steps is to accept the truth that it was never about you (pg. 202-203). All the steps listed are very helpful, but the steps that resonated the most with me are the steps of rewiring your mental direction, belief relief, and doing it now.

"The more powerful part of this is understanding that when we do that, we put ourselves at the effect rather than being at the cause, so understanding this, it's more about us being at the cause rather than the effect, us being the star of our own movie, not trying to be a cameo in someone else's. The power of this is that when we begin to live in the authentic expression of who we are, when we begin to act in that energy state, there's something very magnetic about it, and it becomes a bit of a paradox. When we're doing what we're passionate about, it's like we attract others who are resonating with that, and we may find that if we start to act on our passions, if we start to become this best version of ourself, if we start to focus on ourselves and knowing that we're already 100% whole and complete, there's more likelihood that from that energy state, we will attract other people that also resonate with it. We may find out that that original ex that we wanted back into our life doesn't actually even resonate.
Again, we can only attract that to which we are currently a match, so this means we can’t wait to feel better about our lives until what we want comes. You have to make peace with your single status. You have to start finding ways to feel happy about your life now as it is. This doesn’t mean pretending to like things you don’t, but diligently working on adopting a perspective that actually makes you feel better. It is about focusing on the things in your life that are good, and building on that energy. It is about making time to do things that make you feel good, that help produce the feelings you think you would get from being in a relationship.
1) The Soulmate List. The first list is a list of ‘Green Light’ qualities and attributes that you’d like your soulmate to have.  In other words, this is what you want to “get” in a Soulmate.   In this list, you’ll describe all of the physical and non-physical characteristics you envision your soulmate to have. Here you want to include things that will begin to describe the kind of man or woman who would really make your heart sing.
This freaks people out because they believe feeling happier now as a single person will cancel their 'order' with the Universe for a relationship. But don't worry... it doesn't work like that. Wanting and needing something to happen is not what brings it to you... trust me. Feeling the feelings that lie behind what you want now, and detaching from the idea this thing needs to happen for you to be happy, is what does -- much more quickly and easily.
We can't always control our circumstances, but we can control our responses to them. In this vein, the Law of Attraction can provide the optimism and proactive attitude that's associated with resilience in difficult situations, but must not be used as a tool of self-blame. Our responses to the challenges we face can make us stronger in the end, and the Law of Attraction can be used for that end, but should not be applied negatively, or it can be more destructive than helpful.
I’m glad my book on using the Law of Attraction for love of a specific person worked for you! You should follow the same steps you followed the first time. It’s okay if you think about him, but you should focus on making yourself happy. Instead of thinking of the feeling of “feeling in love”, think of the emotion of “feeling loved.” That’s what you’re ultimately looking for in your relationship.

"Secrets of Success" by Sandra Anne Taylor and Sharon Klinger is a very compelling and helpful book. The "Secrets of Success" is a very valuable guide that gives information on how to combine the law of attraction, and a connection to the higher forces of the universe. This book is important if you are aware and/or believe in the concept of your higher self (and heavenly spiritual helpers). I say this because "Secrets of Success" gives some great information on how to connect with your higher self and other spiritual helpers. The forward of the book is written by Dr. Candace Pert (her website lists that she received her Ph.D. in pharmacology from John Hopkins University). I found it informative the way she took the time to write how her background ties into what is about to be covered. The way that she mentions her work with Sandy at the beginning really shows concern and intensity in making sure that Sandy's ideas and her work harmoniously blended for effectively getting the message across for "The Science and Spirit of Real Prosperity". But it's not a tool, it's more of a "this is how it works" and being consciously aware of how it works can be pretty powerful, just not *necessarily* in the way many would think (red lamborghinis and such).
Staying motivated is also a way that you can ensure you take action on a daily basis. But, what are the ways that we can stay motivated even when times are tough and we don’t feel like putting in the work on a given day?
