We already know that the Law of Attraction can be used effectively… and the positive impact that embracing the law and replacing all negative emotions with positive mind-affirmations can have on what you see in your life. However, there are several common traps that people can fall into when they are trying to apply the rules of attraction to their love lives.

Your experience is a common one with manifesting, regardless of the desire. We do all this work, inner and outer, we don’t get the results we want, we get super-pissed, say f$ck it, and give up. Then usually some good stuff comes in from the positive momentum that has been built up, now that the massive resistance has diminished. Now, while doing a lot of stuff that makes us feel badly, or taking a lot of action for a long time without results, usually leads us to a point where we surrender, it is not the best approach to take because it isn’t necessary. It’s not something you want to consciously do. You don’t want to force yourself into surrender. You can take action if you feel compelled, but just make sure it feels good, and you don’t get attached to those channels as being the way that person must come to you.
The point is, you can go through any personal development program in history. Any of the great books “The Secret” and “Think and Grow Rich”. An Anthony Robbins program. The real masters all understand the same secret. It’s not just the tools and techniques that make a difference. It’s showing people how to open a channel to abundance that really counts.
No matter what we attract, it is always there to help us, so you want to think about this scenario and what feelings came up around it, and that can clue you in to how it is useful for your journey of attracting a relationship. As for your friend, I am not sure what topic of conversation was involved as far as you feeling like you can’t be yourself around her, but as some general advice, anytime we feel like we can’t be ourselves in a certain situation or around a certain person, it is a problem plain and simple that must be examined. Ultimately, it comes down to determining whether your reluctance to be yourself is more based in your own fears, and your friend would more than likely accept you, or if your friend is someone who is very judgmental or wouldn’t be able to accept you for who are because of strong beliefs she holds about certain things.
2) The Second List: Deal Breakers. It’s now time get clear about what I call the ‘Deal Breakers’.  These are the ‘red lights’ that you want to watch out for when you start meeting people.  This is a smaller list where you identify at least three qualities that if this person were to exhibit, you would not engage in a relationship with them. In other words, the deal would be off.

This book really resonated with me. My story is much different and as been a lot easier than that of Eric. Even with this being the case I learned so much about myself as I read this and the importance persistance and faith. This book is great for motivation. It is inspirational in many ways and at the same time entertaining. It is a quick read and in my opinion a must read!

Luck. We like to think that luck has nothing to do with success, but it does. Of course it does. Luck influences where we are born, what access to education we have, who we marry, how healthy we are and what opportunities present themselves to us. There are things we can do to maximize our chances of “getting lucky,” however, and it is these that have a further bearing on success.
Besides, luck, being in the right place at the right time often makes a big difference – which is why you should be willing to try and try again, learning how to endure failure. That’s the third secret of success, according to Scott Adams, author of How to Fail at Almost Everything And Still Win Big. “There is plenty of luck to go around; you just need to keep your hand raised until it’s your turn,” argues Adams. “If you drill down into any success story, you always discover that luck was a huge part of it. You cannot control luck, but you can move from a game with bad odds to one with better odds. You can make it easier for luck to find you. The most useful thing you can do is stay in the game. If your current get-rich project fails, take what you learned and try something else. Keep repeating until something lucky happens.”
Here’s the thing: you can only attract that to which you are a match, and if you are hiding who you really are, or are trying to construct some ‘perfect’ version of yourself you believe makes you more attractive as a potential mate, you will only attract other people who are putting up these same facades. You will never make any true connections—you’re being inauthentic and everyone you meet is being inauthentic, and eventually it will all come to the surface in some way. One of the reasons people struggle to meet the right person is because everyone is just walking around, faking it.
Hi Angel – As I explained in my book, it’s all about you. Distance doesn’t matter with the Law of Attraction, even when using it for love and a specific person. You matter. Focus on creating the relationship you want and don’t worry about what you think are problems. Work on your thoughts, feelings, and vibration. Let go of how it’ll work. You have the ability to change your life and the Universe fully supports you.

2. Focus on the positive. Let go of all your negative thoughts….such as “it's hard to find anyone,” “why don't they see how good I am,” and “no one will ever love me.” You have a lot of great qualities that make you so worthy of anyone's love and attention. Others do notice you and appreciate you. There is love all around you. Let it in. When you let it in and focus on the positive, you change your vibration and open a door for the Law of Attraction for love to bring you your specific person.

Try this... if you experience an event that makes you so happy and overjoyed that you want to attract more into your life then try to remember your inner emotion you had (your heart beating faster/ stomach jumping) whatever it was try to replicate that by remembering the event and then if your vibrational energy is the same as you felt in that joyous moment then it will manifest and you will attract it into your life.

Focus as often as you can on what you do want rather than on what you don't want. For example, if you are angry or upset about a war/conflict that has been going on, do your best to be 'pro-peace' rather than 'anti-war' - focus on the peace, and the kinds of solutions that you would like to see, instead of whatever it is that you do not like about the situation.
In the short term, the cigarette smoker cannot bear to quit because the pain of withdrawal and detox from cigarettes is just too high to bear. Similarly, the cravings that a person might feel who’s overweight and needs to be dieting, which eventually turn into physical withdrawals from things like fat, sugar, and carbohydrates, bring on an intense amount of pain in the short term.
