Just like the good old tracks that the sled follows down the mountain. And so we tell the same old story, over and over, about why we have our childhood wounds, and about how bad our previous relationship was, how we got dumped, how we’re not being loved the way we want to be, how unequal this relationship is, how we have these abandonment issues, how they cheated on us, how we’re too old to find love, too fat, too skinny, too white, too black, too gay, too straight, too poor, too rich, too unstable, too unreliable, afraid of commitment, too demanding… Blah, blah, blah. PLEASE STOP! The more you tell the same old story, the more you’re perpetuating it in your experience and the more you’re blocking love from coming into your life. Why?  Because you keep focusing on it.
Things shift, people change, and your relationships can light up before your very eyes. Easy to do?  Not always.  Life changing?  YES.  Did they change? Nope. It was me, and because of my alignment with who I am, (love) and who they are (love) I am able to have an alternate experience. The Universe gets to deliver that relationship to you on a silver platter – and ways beyond what you thought was possible when you create consistency of thought.
I want to say thank you as a new member of the church for all the support, prayers and positive vibe...s given prior to my thyroidectomy surgery yesterday. Recovery is a lil rough this first morning but I feel at peace..that the pain will pass and better days are ahead. God has a plan for me and I am excited to follow this journey with faith. I loved and appreciate the kind texts, calls, house visit with gift, and even hospital visit for prayer..I felt SO loved and I can't thank you enough for everyone taking your time. I look forward to coming on Sunday and making my presence regular as well as my children's and to give gratitude as well as that same positivity through learning and becoming apart of the church family. ♡ I must say last Sunday was my first time attending and I was in awe not just how beautiful the church was in every aspect but the diversity and kindness shown by anyone I came in contact with. I look forward to the dinner with the Pastor and thank you for the many blessing as I needed them so much for this recovery! ♡♡♡♡♡ See More
It wasn’t until the morning after our little ‘party’ that I noticed something taped to the refrigerator – something that impacts me each time I read it. It was the IBD 10 Secrets to Success. Once my head cleared, I quickly copied them down and read them over and over again. After our vacation I made copies and posted them in my home office and inside a journal I decided to keep.
Amazing, that’s what happen with me and my ex, we would break up and he would date other woman, and I would feel extremely insecure, jealous, crazy, and etc then he would put pics up of one chic and then cut me off. I was devastated, so now I got Elizabeth’s book and I am working on me, so that I can get the LOVE OF MY LIFE back and FOR GOOD this time, in my heart I truly, truly, truly believe we are SOULMATES, everyone tells me, that I should just move on, that I am a beautiful young lady and I will find someone else and that he’s not that into me, etc, but we where together for 4 years going on 5, and I had alot of negative doubts, and insecurities and we kept breaking up. But, I truly believe that he and I are meant to be, and I am so excited that I brought the book and am reading it, taking the steps, and working on me. Best of luck!!!!
I really enjoy reading your posts and learning about opening up to deep and fulfilling love. After heart shattering loss over the course of the last two years I am now in the process of putting myself back together again. It’s still pretty messy but I really want to learn to love myself and be the best version of myself, for me and for my soulmate who I know is out there waiting for me to be ready for forever.
It’s ironic how I’ve already been doing these steps without knowing i was doing it..well i met my soulmate we are going through our challeging times. at first it was me i stop talking to him for six months gave no explanation i was healing from an abusive marriage had so many insecurities i began healing became whole. I was at a party had no idea i would ever see or talk to him again because i changed my number yes i saw him there i went to say something he was gone I was trying to think how will i talk or see him again I found his number we started talking again we have a deep connection but since i’ve healed i notice he has some healing to do from past marriage he was in yes 10 yrs ago he has not let go of what happened. Anyway we had a brief discussion he is holding on why i stop talking to him said when he wanted relationship i didn’t I explained it wasn’t I didn’t want one i had just gotten out of an abusive marriage i was in for 12 years he was shocked said i should have told him now he’s saying he’s not ready for a relationship right now his career i transitioning he’s deciding if he’s going to retire after 25 yrs of serving in military relationship too much. I expressed i understand since that conversation we have seen each other twice in unexpected places to see each other. I’m sharing this because i know without a doubt he’s my soulmate & i’m his soulmate actually when we first met he told me I was the one. I’m trust & believe in this love journey!! Thank you so much this is confirmation for me!!! Much love for you Gabriel
I love this guy for more than 1 year. We had a short relationship, I really loved him but he didn’t pay much attention to my feelings. I started to doubt if he really loves me or just want to sleep with me. He didn’t call me or even text me regularly except the times he need to have se’x ! I couldn’t believe that he was a jerk! He sometimes treated me well and appreciated my kindness to him. Now after 1 year I can’t forget him or be with other guys. I think he didn’t love me and this thought make me hate him ! What should I do? I can’t focus on my own life.
- If I don't have much respect for my body and health or I'm stuck in the "fat" mentality, then I won't stick to a good diet. The key isn't to go from 0 to 100 (from eating fast food regularly to becoming vegetarian, for example). The mind cannot make such a huge switch in a short amount of time due to all the patterns one has developed over the years. Again, psychology 101. So simple yet so many get it wrong. There is no "perfect" diet. But when you have enough respect for your body, you would definitely have the motivation to stick to transition (
In a book written by Mark McCormack entitled, What they don’t teach you at Harvard Business School, the author recounts a powerful study that was conducted on the graduating class of 1979. On graduation day, the researchers asked one specific question: “Have you set clear and written goals for your future and outlined a specific plan to accomplish them?”
